SpaceX is closer than ever to launching its Mars Rocket, but the company still has 75 measures to fulfill before all the permissions are guaranteed, according to The Dallas Morning News.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that SpaceX’s plans for launching the mars rocket from south Texas “would not significantly affect the quality of the human environment”.
The company has waited for this partial permission and will still have to address the potential impact on the environment among other preparations to guarantee the launch license, according to CNN.
These measures include a study performed by qualified biologists that monitor the impact on wildlife and notify the surrounding communities of possible engine noise and sonic booms.
Space X will also have to compromise not to launch near holiday dates, and stick to a few weekend dates offered by the FAA so people can maintain access to the beach.
Musk’s company has postponed the launch over and over because of the delay of the FAA license. The Mars Rocket was supposed to be launched in 2022. Although the license is not necessarily granted after the fulfillment of these measures, it represents an advance.
